    Barrel engraving?

Seen SBR PS90s with barrel engraving on here. What's the story with that? Do you need to get them engraved if you SBR them and what does the engraving say?

It is a requirement by the ATF. All SBR's have to be engraved. There are specifications on the height and depth of the engraving and what is required to be engraved on it. The are many different things dependent on who owns the firearm. My LLC ownes the SBR so the engraving is J&S CC LLC Seffner FL. If it was personally owned, it would be NAME and LOCATION. If it was a trust, it would be the TRUST NAME and LOCATION. There is a multitude of information available in the NFA section on this.

You can't engrave the barrel on a SBR PS90. It has to be in a place where it can be seen.

Quite right JHS. It is the receiver that has to be engraved as the barrel is just that, a barrel. The receiver is the SBR in this case. Thanks for keeping me on my toes. ( knew I would get to thank you again).

Quote right from the NFA Handbook.

"must be to a minimum depth of .003 inch and in a print size no smaller than 1/16 inch."

    HK SD9 Tactical thanked this.
