Apologize if this has been addressed before but it's something I need to know in the next month or so. I've owned a GSG-5 for awhile (always had the HK bug - just didn't have quite the wallet to satisfy it) with both the standard stock and a folder (it's the rifle version with 16" barrel) - all lower dollar stuff.
I've recently taken the plunge and ordered one of Dakota's MP5 pistol builds - still a few months away I understand.
My question is this, since I'm assuming the "rifle" stocks currently on the GSG would fit on the pistol, would I be in violation of the NFA regulations even though they belong (and obviously would only be used on) the GSG? I do plan to SBR the Dakota build eventually. If necessary, I can dispose of the stocks (no idea how I'd be able to continue using the GSG) or have them given to a friend with no access if necessary. I'm sure those with multiple HK products have run into this before - what is the right move? Many thanks, Matt

The same question has come up concerning ar15s. Whether or not having an ar pistol and an ar rifle could constitute the intent and capability to create an illegal SBR. As long as you have a firearm that uses the questionable item, the stock in this case, then you should be fine. If you had the pistol kit and a stock without the rifle, that would cause some trouble. You should be fine in this situation. CMA Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer and this should not be construed as legal advice.
