I had a '98, but like a dumbass......I sold it. Finally found a '99 CN after I realized that blunder. Also have a 2000, and the latest Commander versions with the revised everything. My carry knife for work is a SOCFK.
With the wave, it's THE fastest knife out of the pocket. Beats all the autos that I've had.
So firemen can have heroes.
Sweet I got one of the Christmas Digi cammo Commanders and one of the rare misspelled "Comanders". My everyday carry is a CQC-15 I also scored a CQC-5 recently
thanks for the info. The Lady at Tango down said I just got the last two 6.5" they had in Tan.
I just got off the phone with Todd at Tango Down and I must say Todd at Tango Down is one class act!!! Todd at Tango Down is definitely one of us, by that I mean a shooter and a full-on FNH gun-nut. It's really nice to call up a company and order gun stuff, but it's another thing entirely to connect with a fellow shooter who is truly passionate about the sport as Todd! Many thanks to you sir, Jeff in Texas.![]()
I ordered two SCAR side panels on 1/29
Got an e-mail on 1/30 verifying the order as 2 x 6" SCAR Panel (SC-006) = $28.84 Color Flat Dark Earth and a second e-mail that day providing a receipt.
Next day I got an e-mail providing USPS shipping notification of delivery confirmation which advised me of: Electronic Shipping Info Received
That basically means that their system generated a shipping label, not that it actually went out the door. My credit card was charged the same day - January 31st.
Haven't heard a word since, now 10 days later. The USPS Track & Confirm status is unchanged. I called their web site number twice, got voice mail and left order and callback info and haven't heard back from them.
So what do you think? Is this common with these guys?
Personally, I hate it when my credit card bill comes before the merchandise.![]()
Just wanted to update this thread. Now, Coorporate is aware of these SCAR specific handguards. You can contact Laura directly at 909-392-4757 and she will take your order. She is aware of the difference between the 6" and 6.5" FN specific rail covers. I just ordered 4 at a very good price.

They sent me 2 of the 6.5 FDE panels immediately. I asked if they'd switch the order from 6" to 6.5" and it was not problem. That's a reasonable customer response.
I just called Tango Down and spoke with Jeff and he said that they are no longer selling the 6.5" rail covers to the public. Jeff stated that this was a company decision made a few months ago.
That being said, I am in the market for a 6.5" rail cover for my rifle if anyone is willing to sell one...
