I'm looking for a sling for my scar. Magpul has some new fancy acronymed one that can be used in single or 2 point mode. It has a funky front attachment device though and I'm not sure if that will interface with the SCAR front attachment point for use in 2 point mode. Has anyone tried this?
Are you talking about the MS2 sling? If so, won't work w/ factory FN front loop. Too small to get that clip around/through.
Either have to use a sling device on the side rails or use a ring to attach to the loop for the clip to work.
Get a Viking Tactics VTAC MK II, the MKII has a padded strap.

they also sell the H&K hooks to attach to small mounting points.

Bummer on the magpul. Thanks for the advice and intel.
It fits through mine, but it's tight and it sticks out at a 90 degree angle to the gun. I agree that it would be better to throw a Daniel Defense QD mount on the side rail for the MS2 IMO.Originally Posted by DOE
You can also run some paracord through the stock SCAR mount to make it work, although re-attaching the sling in 2 point mode would be a bit less positive. Actually, I may try to tie a small paracord loop and put some heat shrink tubing around it for stiffness.
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but do the H&K sling hooks scratch up the SCAR sling loops?
Metal on metal = scratches.Originally Posted by 1stidvet

and roger, didn't know if they had a rubber or plastic coating on them.
If Magpul does launch their RSA Mount, it is designed to mount on a rail and work with the MS2 Sling.Originally Posted by _47_
I used a Troy 2 point using 550 cord doubled as an interface between sling and attachment points. Time will tell how durable it is in the long run.
