Where can I get one of these drums? Anyone know if these are for sale and who makes or sells a drum for the SCAR? Thanks
Can't remember who made it, but they made it for FN for the IAR trials (which originally included a requirement for a hi-cap drum mag and then we all know what happened later...)
Basically, not available to the public (it's probably a prototype)

lameeeeee haha. I wonder if those Armatac 150rd AR drums fit? They seem to have more space between the drums so that the SCAR magwell could potentially seat better than with the Beta-mag...
I thought standard AR mags fit the scar, no? Wouldn't a standard AR drum work?
The drums wont allow it to seat correctly.... at least with my beta-mag.
It is not the drums that won't let the Beta seat, it is the feed tower. It hits the bolt stop. You can modify the feed tower to get the Beta to fit in the SCAR.

SCAR'd for Life!!!!!
That does look like an Armatec. Someone spend the BIG bucks and see it they work....
I know my Betas will not lock up in the SCAR. Haven't really looks to see what stops it
for the price they are going for they should hold 500rnds... its almost $750 for an extra 50rnds when compared to the beta-mag, don't understand that one. I guess they are for people like the guy who bid $16k for the "first" ACR on GB.... sucker born every minute. Anyways, if anyone has modified their drum to work and can post a pic/instructions that'd be awesome.
P.S. just checked our the Armatac website and saw they are producing a new drum for the SCAR

If I'm not mistaken Aramtecs are steel where Betas are plastic. They are supposed to be nearly indestructible. But that said, I'll run betas for the difference
that's what I thought as well.... however, just read some reviews where Armatac is now switching to polymer. Maybe the prices will drop? It used to be billet aluminum. I'd pay $350 for one... but $750+ is a little crazy.![]()
