Anyone use the Blue Force UWL to attach their slings?

I want to get a sling for my new SCAR and I'm trying to figure out the best way to mount it.
I'd like to run a Blue Force Vickers Padded sling because I had one on my AR-15 and I like them a lot. I also do not want to run any kind of "H&K hooks" on the rifle because I don't like the idea of metal-on-metal and I don't want to scratch up my rifle. If I was issued one of these or I used it at work I could care less but its my personal weapon and I am a real stickler about that kind of stuff.

Anyways I'm pretty sure I'm going to strap the rear of the Vickers sling to the slot on the top of the stock.

As far as the front sling attachment I was considering two options.
First one was a Blue Force rail mount sling loop- http://www.blueforcegear.com/product...d=5&prod_id=90
However I plan on installing some TD SCAR rail panels on the side and this will take up rail space.

Another option I was looking at that I'll probably go forward with was using a Blue Force Universal Wire Loop (UWL) on the front sling loop and strap the sling to it- http://www.blueforcegear.com/product...d=5&prod_id=81

Anyone own one of these before? Anyone have any other ideas for attaching a sling to the SCAR's from sling loop (besides just paracord which I considered too)?
    Thanks

I use the short UWL on the rear receiver loop and a VTAC low profile sling mount & QD Swivel mounted on the bottom rail just forward of the magazine well. It works well and hasn't skinned up anything yet. If you're really worried about scratching it get some of the little elastic cover thingies from BFG to cover the UWL or HK hooks. Secure it with some 100 mph tape and call it a day.

I ended up ordering two short UWL's and a Vicker's AA Padded sling.
Should be here this week sometime.
I'm gonna use a UWL for the rear attachment point because I'd like to carry the rifle with the stock folded sometimes and I couldn't figure how looping the sling on it would work out. Obviously I'll be using a UWL up front too.

    Post pix, please...

    Gray Ghost,

If you have the ability/equipment, I'd sure love to see pictures of your sling kit when you have it complete.

Sounds like you thought it out!

    Thanks!

    Sure no problem.
Following 'CruelHand's' advice I may end up just ditching the UWL's and going with just tan paracord. The UWL's mounting bracket is metal and if there's any chance of it scratching my rifle I may just return them. Or I could always just try and putting those elastic sleeves over them like he suggested too.

I use our 3.25" UWL at the rear and a rail mounted Push Button swivel at the front.

Thats a nice option too and I may do that if I can get around to cutting down one of the TD rail panels.
I installed the Vicker's sling and x2 UWL's on my SCAR and its working pretty good but its too bad its not QD at all. If I just want to go the range or take the sling off when I keep my gun around the house for self-defense I have to undo the whole sling to get the UWL's off.
Yet another reason HK hooks would work better but I still don't want to use them and scratch up my rifle.

At first I tried the magpul sling and used the sling points near the hinge of the folding stock. I used metal crimps on loops on black mono.
The thick stuff I use for spear fishing. The loops work nicely, just didn't like the location I had chosen.

If I recall correctly I got too much movement when running so I bought a two point (Viking tactical). It works better for me the way I have it mounted now.

For the rear I used the sling mount slot on the stock. Keeps the stock of the gun nice and high on my shoulder.
I have the HK hook on the front on my 16s, but not sure what I am going to use on my 17s.

If you attach the sling onto the stock what happens when you fold the stock?
Does the sling get kinda twisted and in the way?
