So if the M-TMR model includes the AA53 MK262 Mod 1 5.56mm BDC dial, and the H-27D model includes the M118LR 7.62mm BDC dial are these BDC dials interchangeable on the MK8 CQBSS series?
Anyone know based on which reticle type you have if you can order a different dial from the Leupold custom shop? I am really considering pulling the trigger on one of the Leupold MK8 CQBSS scopes.![]()

I do not know for certain on the Mk8 but on the MK4 line you can get a custom BDC made up for anything you want. If its a common configuration they have the data to do it, if your shooting something weird and you have the the ballistic data, they can do it as well.
Just wondered if I went with the TMR reticle over the H-27D for the SCAR17s if I could get a BDC to work with a standardized load and vic a versa I suppose for the SCAR16s.

I don't see why not, you could have two different turrets and then after a quick zero, you'd be set... Although if you go with the Horus and get the ATRAG software, you'd never have to use the turrets after you zero, the reticle is all you need
The only thing that is really hanging me up on this scope is the non-day illumination with the TMR-M reticle. To me that kind of defeats the purpose of a 1.1-8X optic. If I had that I would drop the cash right away. I am sure the Horus is good with enough training behind it but for me it is just way to busy and clutters up the eye-box preventing me from seeing other targets, details, etc.

I find that it's hard getting everything you want on one scope (granted, "needed" or not). I read a review on OpticsThoughts about the 1-10x26 35mm SFP ELIMINATOR LTS where, while he liked the scope, he thought that the new MP-8 XTREME X1 (christmas tree reticle) may be a little too busy. I'm going to give it a try anyway.
You don't understand how serious this is . . . they killed my dog!
I shoot with Trijicon ACOG. The doughnut reticule. It's fantastic. The reason it is so much a blessing is because a red dot doesn't cover your POI. It's like a little window that looks into your bullet holes.
It's .308 calibrated and 3.5X mag.

Thats what I like about the TMR reticle, instead of dots spaced out every 1 Mil like a Mil-Dot reticle you have it broke down into .5 mil. So now you have a great hold over reticle. Easier and faster for ranging. However, the fact that the TMR reticle is not a closed cross, but a open box reticle does not lend its self to target shooting/paper punching. I am about 90% sold on the CQBSS for the price I can get it for as I would not pay the regular leupold MSRP and refuse to pay the $3K for a S&B 1-8X Short Dot. Waiting on Leoupld to get back to me on the cost and lead time of the additional BDC cams from the custom shop.
I also have to figure out what type of quick-detach mount to go with.........![]()
I was thinking the LaRue LT111 OBR QD as it looks solid and has 20 MOA built-in to the upper rail any thoughts........?

I had the same gripe about the NF 1-4 I had for awhile. Take a look a this link, SWFA is coming out with a 1-6 in their SuperSniper HD Line, looks promising and will cost less than half the Leupy... but still not a 1-8
