    SCAR 17S SSR Kit or SSR Barrel?

    I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to get all the parts and accessories to deck out a Scar 17S to a Scar SSR?

    I know Hi DesertDog has parts, but wanted to explore other options as I haven't heard raving reviews about them.

    Any and all input appreciated.

    Mainly looking for the Extended Barrel, Pistol Grip, Stock, etc...

    Private messages are great, but posted replies here okay too.

    Welcome to FNF. No personal experience with HDD on a consumer level. They do have a sub-forum on FNF, toward the bottom of the main page...

    At this time your only option for the barrel which I wouldn't recommend doing due to the four fasteners at the barrel extension would be to explore a barrel manufacturer such as Obermeyer, Rock Creek, Krieger, etc. and I'm sure you can have a barrel manufactured. The other issue is the I.D. of the through bore on the gas block to barrel, as current design makes the point of a heavier profile rather academic in nature.

    I'll match his pricing AFTER I become a sponsor on FNF. It's going to be a while still before they're available.

    No pre-order either.

    Oh, one last thing: I am not aware of any 20" barrel availability.
