scar 16 xps2 or t-1, sling choice

Im looking for a red dot setup. I had to get rid of the acog since i live in a heavy populated city.

Im searching for certain setups and I see alot of t-1's on the Scar but what's this hk mount? is it a specific mount needed to get a cowitness?

as for eotech, is the xps going to be cowitness, and does it interfere with the charging handle?

I like the eotech reticle alot but i've never shot a red dot sight before.

also slings. I have a vtac padded 2 point, but I like the concept of the ms3. DOes anyone have experience with teh ms3 while using it as a 2 point?

Both optics are great. You really can't go wrong with either. I have the Eotech XPS and love it. The batter life isn't an issue with me, but if you think the zombies are coming, or you rely on it(IE. soldier), then batter life may be important. I just think the eotech looks better, but that is my opinion

OP, I guess this thread didn't take the direction you wanted... look at the options in person and chose what you like, you will get nothing more than a varrying responses arguing for both. They are both good and it will come down to what you feel most comfortable with

I run the Aimpoints on short range stuff because I had shit luck with Eotech units in the past.

I do have an Insight MRDS as well but have not tested it yet so I can't recommend it one way or the other. It does look promising though and the member who gave me the skinny on it, is not a internetz commando.

well im not concerned with battery life guys. I know the spec diff between the two. I just need to know what kind of mounts I need to buy iwth the t1 and if I need to buy any mounts for the xps.

I've narrowed it down to those, and because of price im going with xps, I just want to know if I have to get a special mount or a specific model because im not familiar with the scar platform.

To answer the OP:

"AR height" mounts will give you lower 1/3 cowitness on the SCAR as on the AR.
"low" or "NV" compatible mounts will give you absolute cowitness on the SCAR.
HK is for HKs =P

Personally I like the absolute cowitness when I can raise/lower the irons like on the SCAR. On my AR-15 with fixed front sights, I use lower 1/3.
