Anyone try to attach a TD rail cover over the top rail(12 oclock) up front without removing sights for when your thumb is over the rail? Is it even possible or should I just go with the ladder rail cover?
I may be misunderstanding your question, but you should be able to do it no problem. TD rail covers come in several lengths. You should be able to mate one up to your needs. That said, I don't own a SCAR. But I do have three carbines with full top rails. Two of them have front sights that fold like the SCAR. I have 12 o'clock rails on all three (mostly as "safe-bumpers" but functional none the less). Again, I may be wrong on what you're asking.
The sights on the fn scar block the TD rails from sliding on on the 12 o'clock rail. I am curious if I can force them on or heat and bend them to "pop" on using downward pressure to snap on without breaking the rails?
