what're some good mags that work for the scar but aren't pmags. The Pmags i have don't drop freely, they need a good pull to get it out. I know that other ar mags work but I do not know of any good AR mag brands. At the moment I have some Pro-mags but I want to stock up.
TIA
I have had very good luck with my Fusil mags, I have not had to modify any of them and in both my SACRs they drop free.

The Brownells mag is a good choice as well

I have never used one of the newer Lancer L5 AWM mags but one guy here can't stop talking about how good they are. I have some of their older mags and except for having to watch what cleaning solutions I use around them they have been good. The older Lancers need to modified at the bolt catch like the PMags, the new AWM mag does not seem to need to be modified.

The TangoDown ACR mag and the Troy Battle mag I have no experience with so I can not comment on them, hopefully some of the guys here who run them with comment on them.
CProducts.........I have not had an issue with their older mags that I have but I stay away from their new one, their QC has slipped a good bit and I had a number of mag related issues in rifles I never had failures with before or since.
I personally have never had happy results with Pro-Mag mags, pistol or rifle.

I like the HK Maritime mags for mine.
One Bank to rule them all, one Bank to find them, one Bank to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
I use either Brownell's mags, or D&H Industries mags.
Brownell's mags are on sale right now -- 33% off regular price:

I use the Tangodown ARC magazine on my 16 and although it fits well and works good it does not drop freely!
I use the Fusils and USGI mags with my SCAR; Pmags are for my AR's.
