I have had a lesson driven home this week, and it cost a LVMPD Officer his life to bring it to the forefront. Officer Trevor Nettleson was KILLED DEFENDING HIS OWN HOME from 3 teenage pieces of shit. He was home early and not in uniform, un-armoured but armed. He shot one and the others got away, not before mortally wounding Trevor. His garage door was open and he was in there alone.
I have been warned by a metro Sgt(good friend) many times to not work in the garage with the door open. Its a policy of the dept to adivse folks when they notice the door open. Ill probably still work with it open, but the level of alert is going way up.

Im rarely un-armed, but still, you should be able let down a bit in your own diggs. His skill at arms scores were stellar, but a center chest sucker shot is hard to counter.. He will be missed, and I will be more vigilant.

There are now five perps in custody, all gang bangers from 17 to 25. The 25 yr old will be charged with murder, acc after the fact. I hope they go all the way up the tree.

I live in an upscale area but rather in the woods-im on the getto side lol. I am in the processes of getting my alarms turned on again/I had issues with the city always coming by due to an alarming going off. Once, I came home and they were in the basement checking the crawl space. We must have left the door open. It can happen to anyone anywhere and id rather be armed.

Luckily, I have a patrol officer that sits across from my driveway at least 4 days a week doing traffic. We have some serious rich dudes in the area. In fact, Pres. Bush ate dinner last year at one of my neighbors house. Anyways, burglars/murders do not come announced.
