Question What's your daily carry tactical kit?

I'm asking this in an effort to ascertain what other's carry on a daily basis along with their EDC. I personally carry an UZI TACPEN3 Tactical Pen, Benchmade Griptilian and FNX-40. My reasoning for carrying the above is simple, in the event I am attacked at close range or from behind and unable to draw my pistol I can perforate the thug/s with a pen if not fillet them with my knife before ventilating them with my pistol. I use a pen everyday and seem to use my knife the same, I do however keep my knife scalpel sharp at all times. I find it best and more responsible to have a multilayered plan in the event the "plan" needs to be put in action.

Seems a common blade carrying theme going on, I would as do many LEO's I know recommend carrying a tactical pen if possible. If you think about it, you could be grabbed from behind bear hug fashion where a knife and CCW might be unreachable, in such circumstances a tactical pen is ideal if carried in a breast pocket. If utilized properly they can make a mess out of an attacker in short order. Thanks to all contributors...

blades are just useful! Even if I'm not attacked (which so far so good) I am always finding a use for my blade in everyday life. No matter where I go, (even in those alleged Gun Free Zones) I make sure I have something. And a good blade nice to have. I'm also hoping to get a Schrade SCHF14 for Christmas to replace my Gerber.

I too find myself using my knife on a daily basis and concur, one should always have at least something. A friend just took his Florida required Gun Safety Course prior to obtaining his CWP and the Deputy instructing the class kept extolling the virtues of any pointed object and recommending tactical pens. Something so innocuous as a pen can do untold damage, deep large diameter puncture wounds are NOT pleasant no matter who you are.

I have thought about a tac pen but 99+% of the time I don't wear shirts with pockets (t-shirt styles or polo styles) and if they did come up from behind in a bear hug type hold I wouldn't be able to get to one clipped to the neck opening anyways but I feel I have a better chance of doing a back of the headbutt to the attacker which hopefully would give me a chance to get to either my firearm or knife or continue with hand/head/body defensive tactics
