Welcome!! We always enjoy "virgin" SCAR photos, so post a portrait of your new baby when she arrives-before and after she's all dressed up! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for all the kind welcomes. I got the tracking number for my SCAR and it won't be getting to the FFL until friday end of business. I hope it gets there early so I can pick it up before the weekend. I am afraid they might be closed till tuesday because of labor day weekend.
Welcome from the People's Republik of Kolorado! Enjoy the SCAR!

Holy crap! That one actually matches ! Nice score man!
"Never forget, even for an instant, that the one and only reason anybody has for taking your gun away is to make you weaker than he is, so he can do something to you that you wouldn't let him do if you were equipped to prevent it. This goes for burglars, muggers, and rapists, and even more so for policeman, bureaucrats, and politicians."
-Aaron Zelman and L. Neil Smith, Hope, 2001
In regard to your planned sling: I have a number of Blue Force slings, but the wire adapter didn't work out in practicality for me on the SCAR. I ended up with simply looping the sling through the butt-stock hole (that doesn't sound right! )
Seriously though, the stiff wire is always hanging there, and always got in my face when I did a cheek weld. I had to keep moving it out of the way.
That's good advice. I"m probably going to Paracord it to the rear sling point on the receiver. My theory is to run it like a burnsed loop so I can still weak side transition. If it doesn't work I will run it through the stock.
