    2019 - 2020 Newly Proposed State And Federal Bills

    Well folks it's a new legislative year for every state except New Jersey and the bills are rolling in like wild fire, with a good chunk of them being anti-gun. Have a feeling it is going to be a rough year for gun rights advocates. Here what's already come in in the first 5 days of the year:


    CA


    AB18 would create an excise tax on handguns and semi-automatic rifles


    AB61 would add more people to the list of people that can file for a 'red flag' protection order


    SB55 would make anyone convicted of two or more misdemeanors a prohibited person


    SB61 would limit sales of all firearms to one per month


    CO


    HB1021 would repeal the high capacity magazine ban


    HB1049 would eliminate the prohibition for carrying on school property provided you have a carry license

    H0135 is a universal background check bill


    H6005 doubles down on gun free school zones


    H6007 would remove the restriction for carrying firearms on college campuses

    HB2 is a constitutional carry bill

    SB163 would require all firearm sales and transfers to go through a gun dealer and a background check


    SB23 would create firearm restraining orders


    SB39 would allow carrying firearms on public transportation and on property owned by public transportation companies.


    SB40 would require firearms to be securely stored when there are children in the house


    SB42 would create extreme risk protection orders very similar to California law


    SB75 would allow the governing body of any county, city, town, or village to create local laws requiring anyone that is carrying a concealed firearm to have a concealed carry license, overriding the states constitutional carry law


    SB94 would add more disqualifying offenses for firearm prohibitions including misdemeanor domestic assault

    HB101 would allow individual school districts to create their own firearm regulations


    HB109 would require background check on all commercial sales or transfers of firearms, something that is already required

    Here's this week's list of newly introduced bills. At this point (only 20 days into the new sessions) there have been 509 firearm related bills introduced in the state legislatures, 221 of them anti-gun and 124 pro-gun.


    Since there are so many of them I added colors to the bill number to show whether they are progun or anti-gun (green for pro and red for anti)

    I think we need to pass a law that says that all anti gun representatives and senators, governors, and all other politicians, local all the way to fed level, be tagged with the term "Anti Constitution and Anti 2nd Amendment Supporter" after their name. If they are so proud to file these useless legislative actions, they should not mind and own up to the fact that they are Anti Constitution and Anti 2nd Amendment Supporters.
