What AMMO do you have in your CCW?

I thought it would be interesting to what AMMO you guys/gals are carrying.

I use Winchester Ranger "T" 165gr 40SW (RA40TA) in both my Glock 27 and My Kahr PM40. They are the "New and Improved" black talons. They re-engineered the jacket to stay intact and open into a large star for more internal damage. They are cheap enough for me to practice with them at the range. $24ish per 50.

Muzzle.....................1140...................476

Here a couple good sites on Personal Defense rounds:

I tried several kinds, thus far Federal Premium has served me the best. Had a round in the chamber for CCW for over a year and a half and it fired without a hitch. As anyone who carries knows invariably the weapon is subject to swet, temperature change when left in car during winter, etc.

Other stuff might be just as good, but when that round fired I was "sold" that federal fit my reliability needs.

I carried my Five a couple times.(not ss190 of course). Got a free serpa blackhawk holster with mine and It worked flawlessly. :? I did like how lite it was fully loaded with twice as many rounds compared to my Glock 30.

Been thinking about getting one and giving it a try.
I really do like it. I am not concerned about having an extra mag, as 20 should be more than enough(hopefully). I haven't tried the belt loop yet, but my favorite feature is the quick release button is perfect. No scratches or marks on the gun what so ever and they are pretty cheap at $31 + sh. or $29.00 +sh from amazon

I have some Black Talons.

But don't carry them.

I have a variety of stuff that I do carry.

soon as it arrives approved, I'm not really sure... based on the "they all hurt" factor and first shot recovery, probably Buffalo Bore 200gr JHP, or Hornady 185gr JHP... non P rounds... in .45ACP

That is... until I can get a FN 5.7MM INSTEAD.

+1 on the PDX-1. I use the 230 gr. .45ACP in a Sig 245. Functions flawlessly.
