    FN FNC...Score!

While perusing Armslist, here in NC, I came across this little gem...it's un-fired w/o even a magazine having been inserted.

An item of note regarding the F/H - Comp., the bottom row of holes appear to have a waxy substance plugged into holes...ideas anyone? Even had an end-cap plugged over it. Also came with the scope mount too

Got it at an Estate Sale for a decent deal...input greatly appreciated.

Edit: I didn't know where else to post this...Mods if there's another forum for the FNC, then by all means...

That's a beauty! Nice score. No idea on the wax plugs.

Nice score! Is it possible the waxy substance is Frog Lube? I can't see how anything pliable would remain after the first shot. I have FL'd many a firearm with the residue looking similar.

It's never been fired...it even came w/the end cap over the muzzle device too.

Edit: I've used Frog Lube for several years and I've never had this type of buildup once dried...whatever the substance may be, it's not of a "waxy" nature.

Thanks for all the replies thus far...
