As I said, with patience you can find the ammo for a decent price. If you have any local stores like bass pro, cabelas, academy, etc. that stock 5.7, they get regular shipments of it and you just have to be ready to buy fast when you see it. Also keep an eye on the 5.7x28 ammo tracking thread and move quick when somebody links to any website that has it in stock.

If you're paying $50 a box for FN ammo you are not looking in the right place.

No recommendation other than enjoy..and as said collect ammo as you go...

I never found out what is the square impression in the case for (above the magazine)?

Also the new guns come with a piece of paper that says ss195lf has/had some problems...lots of speculating around this.

The only problem with the SS195 is finding some.

Fired casing and tool/or tools depending on the model.

I'm really excited to see what this bad boy can do!! Also, picked up quite a few boxes of 197 to go with it...
Aside from sharing my excitement with the forum, I wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations or insights. I'm gonna read up, but figured I'd put this out there and see what came of it!

    thanks!!

by the way, if someone was looking, they had one more...
Congrats! You said they had some (one?) more. What gun store was it? I can't find any in stock at decent prices.
The facts, although interesting, are irrelevant.

Yea, In central texas, Reds in Pflugerville... Also, McBrides in Austin just had (may still have) an OD green for 1050 just yesterday...

I've been seeing a lot of ammo for it lately too... All FN ss197, as low as 25/box up to 28

Thanks! I'm not too far from the 290 store (Red's). I'm in Kerr County and get to Manchaca to visit relatives often.
